Islanders' Eric Boulton: Placed on waivers

Boulton (lower body) was placed on waivers Saturday, Arthur Staple of Newsday reports.

Assuming Boulton clears waivers he will likely report to Bridgeport of the AHL, where he will mentor future Islanders in a player/coach role.
