Islanders' Grant Hutton: Likely headed to AHL

Hutton was placed on waivers by the Islanders on Sunday, per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.

Hutton has only 18 games of NHL experience, all coming with the Islanders. The 29-year-old has been a staple on AHL Bridgeport's blueline for several years, and he'll head there if he goes unclaimed on waivers. The right-shot defenseman registered 16 points in 54 regular-season appearances with Bridgeport in 2023-24.
