Pionk (not injury related) won't travel to Winnipeg to play against Chicago on Monday due to border restrictions, Scott Billeck of the Winnipeg Sun reports.

Pionk has averaged 22:56 of ice time -- 2:31 during the power play -- and dealt two assists over his last 10 appearances. The 26-year-old is ineligible to cross the Canadian border for one more day despite clearing the NHL's COVID-19 protocols Thursday, Billeck adds. Logan Stanley is expected to see an expanded role in Pionk's absence for Monday's home game versus Chicago.
