Lightning's Fredrik Claesson: Hits waivers Friday

Claesson was designated for waivers Friday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.

Claesson hasn't recorded an NHL point since 2019-20 with New Jersey, going scoreless in four games with the Lightning this year. The 29-year-old has a lone point in six contests this season with AHL Syracuse, which is where he's likely headed assuming he goes unclaimed.
