Panthers' Kirill Gerasimyuk: Earns first AHL shutout

Gerasimyuk posted a 17-save shutout in AHL Charlotte's 2-0 win over Iowa on Saturday.

Gerasimyuk is 1-1-0 with a shutout over three AHL appearances. The 22-year-old goalie signed his entry-level contract with the Panthers in July after spending time in the second-tier Russian league, the VHL. While he's had a positive start in the AHL, Gerasimyuk is unlikely to make his NHL debut any time soon.
