Penguins' Vasily Ponomarev: Sent to minors

Ponomarev was reassigned to AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Friday.

Ponomarev spent the last week of the regular season with Pittsburgh, and he was held without a point while generating four hits and a blocked shot over three appearances during his stint with the NHL club. He should have more opportunities to contribute in the Calder Cup Playoffs.
