Joe Rogan doesn't believe CM Punk should be fighting in the UFC
CM Punk has been waiting nearly 14 months to make his debut, but its been delayed again, leading some to question whether he should be fighting in the sport at all.
It's been a long time coming for CM Punk to have his first official fight in the UFC. The former WWE superstar who signed with Ultimate Fighting Championship in December 2014, has yet to step into the Octagon.
The now 37-year-old was scheduled to take on Mickey Gall in his debut after Gall took out Mike Jackson earlier this month. However, it was recently announced that fight would be delayed after Punk suffered a back injury.
Now, the lead analyst for UFC, Joe Rogan, is questioning whether he should ever step into the Octagon.
"I also think it's ridiculous for him to fight in the UFC," Rogan said during his podcast "The Joe Rogan Experience."
"I think he should fight in a small organization. Take a fight in a small organization, build yourself up. I have always said that's what should have happened with Brock Lesnar."

It's a fair argument to make, given both his age and relative lack of experience in Mixed Martial Arts. There is no timetable in place for Punk to face Gall in the near future.
