Report: Seattle's Clint Dempsey suspended 2 games for groin smack
Clint Dempsey was reportedly suspended for two games after he knocked Toronto defender Mark Bloom in the man region.

Seattle Sounders forward and USMNT star Clint Dempsey has been suspended two games by MLS for smacking a Toronto defender in the groin during a game this past weekend, according to The Toronto Sun.
Dempsey, expected to play a crucial role for the US’s attack in the upcoming World Cup, said he felt someone on his back when he took the ill-fated swipe against Toronto's Mark Bloom, but the GIF looks a little more damning.
First, Dempsey’s account of the incident, and then the GIF.
“To be honest with you, I felt a hand on my back. I tried to hit it away and thought I was hitting his hand away. I understand that maybe I did catch him a little bit. I apologized to him about that, but for me, all I was trying to do was smack his hand from touching my back,” Dempsey told The Seattle Times.

Not cool, Demps.
