Ian Poulter and Steve Elkington get into spat on Twitter
Twitter wars are somewhat ridiculous but this one between Ian Poulter and Steve Elkington made me laugh.

It's a Saturday, the world hasn't ended, and you know what that means.
Steve Elkington is making enemies on Twitter again.
This time the victim (if you can call him that) is Ian Poulter. It started with this tweet by Elkington:
“@ghostofhogan: Where's Poulter Shooting in the winners tournament ?.....// don't think he's playing chief... Waxin the Bentley
— Steve Elkington (@elkpga) January 3, 2014
Somebody alerted Poulter by tagging him in a tweet.
It's ok he knows he is a total tool. He's with all his mates. @theconork13 The guy who likes to run his mouth @elkpga sending crap your way
— Ian Poulter (@IanJamesPoulter) January 3, 2014
Poulter eventually tracked down Elkington (who didn't tag him) and responded.
Actually @elkpga I haven't blocked you I just don't follow tools. You can give me a lesson in Scotland if you fancy. I will bring the fans.

Then Elkington responded by badly misspelling "allowed":
I'm talking about you & adding your twitter name in @elkpga. Instead of talking about people behind there backs without twitter name.
— Ian Poulter (@IanJamesPoulter) January 4, 2014
Poulter ended it with this:
Sorry friends for being dragged down by @elkpga. But I don't put up with people who trash talk behind someones back. It's Cowardly

The spat doesn't really surprise me that much given how outspoken both Elkington and Poulter are. I'm not a Poulter fanboy or anything but it doesn't seem like Elking makes a ton of friends on tour with his antics.
He does love to rile himself up a star though and Poulter can pretty easily find himself embroiled in a Twitter war (if we can even call it that). good on him for taking the high road (eventually).
