A couple of years before turning pro on the LPGA, Wie became the youngest player to make the cut at the 2003 Kraft Nabisco Championship. Wie tied for ninth as an amateur.

Michelle Wie has always been proud of her roots. The golfer was born and raised in Honolulu and even guest starred on CBS' Hawaii 5-0 in 2015.
She graduated from Stanford but didn't play
Michelle Wie, like Tiger Woods, attended college at Stanford. Unlike Tiger, Wie was not eligible to play golf at the university. Since Wie turned pro at 15 so was not eligible to play collegiately.
