The MLB All-Star Game is this weekend, and every team is in action Wednesday as they try to seize momentum before the break. The Tampa Bay Rays (57-31) have lost nine of their past 15 games and face another battle as part of the 15-game Wednesday MLB schedule. The most recent loss was to the Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday, and the teams play the second of a three-game series Wednesday at Tropicana Field. The Phillies (45-39) have won 10 straight road games, approaching the club-record of 13 they won away from home in 1976.

Also Wednesday, the Brewers visit the Chicago Cubs as Milwaukee tries to catch the NL Central-leading Reds. Cincinnati has a one-game lead and is in Washington to face the Nationals. The Phillies vs. Rays meeting in St. Petersburg, Fla. is set for first pitch at 6:40 p.m. ET. The emerging lineup could find some success against Detroit starter Eduardo Rodriguez. The LHP comes in off a six-week stint on the injured list, and his unusual injury (ruptured pulley tendon in a finger) caused uncertainty about his recovery time, so he's likely to be rusty. Ken Waldichuk is expected to start for Oakland, and the former Yankees prospect has been solid recently. He allowed six runs against the Blue Jays 10 days ago but yielded zero runs over 9.1 innings in his other four outings in his past five.
