Royals starter Aaron Brooks had a disastrous start Saturday against the Blue Jays.

Brooks last just 2/3 of an inning, giving up seven earned runs. The inning was an absolute disaster. Toronto's first eight players reached base against Brooks. During that span, he gave up three hits, three walks and hit two batters. He managed to get Anthony Gose to ground into a double-play, but then promptly allowed two more singles before being pulled from the game.

The loss dropped Brooks to 0-1 on the season. He was taking the place of Yordano Ventura in the team's rotation, and it's unclear if Brooks will get another start next week. If Brooks remains in the rotation, he would be scheduled to take on the Yankees.
