Right-hander Scott Feldman has agreed to a three-year contract worth $30 million with the Astros, Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com has confirmed. Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports first reported the deal. The contract is still pending a physical.

Feldman, 30, went 12-12 with a 3.86 ERA (105 ERA+) in 181 2/3 innings across 30 starts for the Cubs and Orioles in 2013. He battled knee problems from 2011-12 and only managed a 4.86 ERA (91 ERA+) in 155 2/3 innings, all for the Rangers.

The Astros have had the worst record in baseball in each of the last three seasons and are in the middle of a massive rebuild. They acquired Dexter Fowler from the Rockies earlier this week and have now added Feldman, so they've started the process of surrounding their prospects with veteran players.
