College baseball team asks MLB player for a PS4 -- and he delivers
A University of Minnesota baseball player randomly asked Glen Perkins (UM alum and current Twins closer) for a Play Station 4 for the locker room. Perkins promptly ordered one for the team.

From the "it never hurts to ask" and "the worst he can do is say 'no'" department: A University of Minnesota baseball player asked Twins All-Star closer Glen Perkins the following:
@glenperkins how about a ps4 donation for Gopher baseball? The boys would love it

Perkins' reply?

BOOM!
This wasn't quite as random as it might seem. Perkins is from Minnesota. He was born and raised in St. Paul and attended the University of Minnesota. He was drafted and developed by the Twins and has spent his entire career there. When he signed a club-friendly extension a few offseasons ago, it was his idea to take the "hometown discount" and stay put.
Also, this isn't out of character for Perkins. He's a giver. Check this out, from last summer:

Still, he didn't have to oblige on the Twitter request. He could have easily just ignored it and on one would have thought less of him. Kudos to him for granting the request to his future fellow UM baseball alumni.
