Joe Wieland begins range-of-motion exercises

After undergoing minor elbow surgery on March 25, Padres pitcher Joe Wieland has already begun range-of-motion exercises, MLB.com reports.

Wieland, who said the surgery went well, is aiming to return to action in the first half of the season. He could resume throwing in a month.
