Mets first baseman Josh Satin should see regular work against left-handed pitching regardless of who wins the starting job at the first base position, ESPNNewYork.com reports.

Satin excelled against southpaws last season, hitting .317/.404/.476 in 82 at-bats against left-handers. Conversley, both Ike Davis and Lucas Duda struggled to hit lefties last season. However, Satin had an elevated .424 batting average on balls in play against left-handers, which could signal some upcoming regression for the 29-year-old.
