Juan Pierre able to keep streak alive

Marlins outfielder Juan Pierre pushed his hitting streak to 12 games Sunday against the Cardinals with a 2-for-5 effort. Pierre also had one run and two RBI.

Pierre is batting .384 (20 for 52) with two doubles, two triples, two RBI, three walks, five stolen bases and 10 runs in his last 12 games. His batting average has gone from .218 to .257 in that span.
