LOOK: Cubs fan the anti-Bartman this time in Game 6 of the NLCS at Wrigley Field
Memories of the past die hard
The Chicago Cubs are playing in their first potential National League Championship Series clincher since 2003. You undoubtedly remember what happened back then -- they lost Games 6 and 7 against the then-Florida Marlins.
Of course, that's sweeping over the whole Steve Bartman incident, which, again, everyone knows about. That includes this fan in attendance on Saturday night, who wanted to ensure there would be no sequel:
How about the dude in the front row constantly thinking about Bartman? Dude is NOT letting it happen. pic.twitter.com/Oathr5rSiC

It's easy to poke jokes and make references to Bartman, but the reality is this: the man had his life irreparably changed due to a foul ball. There's nothing funny in that.
Hopefully Bartman's fate never befalls anyone else -- and hopefully the Cubs' continued success allows him to return to a life of normalcy ... or something close to it.
