Few players in baseball are as beloved as veteran Cubs catcher David Ross. He has long been known as one of baseball's good guys, someone who goes out of his way to help young players. Jason Heyward upgraded Ross to hotel suites for all 2016 road trips as a thank you recently.

Ross, who will turn 39 in about two weeks, is planning to retire following the season. So, to honor their veteran mentor, Anthony Rizzo and Kris Bryant have started an Instagram account called grandparossy_3, which they will use to document his final season. Pretty neat idea.

Following a tough day of catching drills Wednesday, Rizzo and Bryant had to help Grandpa Rossy get across the clubhouse. Check it out:

That's great. The G-PA ROSSY jersey pulls it all together.

Ross is not going to get a big farewell tour like Chipper Jones or Derek Jeter, but clearly his teammates love him and want to make his final season special. I can't imagine there would be any better way for Ross to end his career than by helping the Cubs win their first World Series in over a century.
