Manager thinks Josh Beckett could pitch again this year

Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said Friday that it's possible Josh Beckett pitches again this season, MLB.com reports.

Beckett was placed on the disabled list Friday with a hip impingement that teammates believe will sideline him for the remainder of the year. However, the manager isn't ruling out a return from Beckett just yet. The team also announced that he is dealing with a groin strain.
