Report: Tim Bogar 'runaway favorite' to be hired as Rangers manager
Interim Rangers manager Tim Bogar is the runaway favorite to be named the full-time boss, per a report.

Tim Bogar took over as acting manager of the Texas Rangers once Ron Washington suddenly resigned from his post on Sept. 5. And it seems that his work thus far has impressed general manager Jon Daniels, at least according to the following report:
Tim Bogar is now the clear runaway favorite to be hired as the next #Rangers manager.

The Rangers lost five of their first six games under Bogar, but then rolled off a season-high seven consecutive wins. Overall, they are 8-6 under Bogar, which followed a 53-87 record under Washington.
Bogar, 47, has been the manager of the year in three different minor leagues, and in five different minor-league seasons, he sports a career 362-266 record. He has never been a full-time major-league manager. He has previously been on the coaching staffs of the Rays and Red Sox.
