The A's are still on fire, so we are still betting on them, plus other top picks for Friday
Oakland has won seven consecutive games

We've made it to another weekend and that means quality time with your couch and remote as you watch endless amounts of baseball. It's Chris Bengel back with you once again and we were nearly perfect on Thursday. New York Yankees starter Andrew Heaney got lit up just like I thought he would, but that moneyline Chicago White Sox play was a little more dramatic than I envisioned.
Still, a win is a win and if it wasn't for Toronto Blue Jays starter Jose Berrios getting hit around early on, we would've cashed that under as well.
Gambling aside, the Field of Dreams Game did disappoint. Dyersville, Iowa provided a gorgeous backdrop for the game and the endless cornfields were a sight to behold. The game itself provided a great deal of drama, which included White Sox closer Liam Hendriks coughing up a three-run lead in the top half of the ninth inning. After Giancarlo Stanton put the Yankees ahead with a two-run home run, it was almost as if Tim Anderson said "hold my beer" on his walk-off, two-run homer to give the White Sox the win.
MLB commissioner Rob Manfred confirmed that we will be getting another installment of the Field of Dreams Game in Dyersville and the Chicago Cubs could be involved in 2022. Regardless of what teams participate next year, it'll be must-watch television.
Now let's keep the winning ways alive and take home some more cash tonight!

🔥 The Hot Ticket
Athletics vs. Rangers, 7 p.m. | TV: MLB.TV
The Pick: Athletics -1.5 (-105) -- It's no secret that the A's have been on a torrid pace as of late. Oakland has won seven consecutive games and are coming off a 17-0 dismantling of the Cleveland Indians. The A's have won four of their last seven games by two or more runs and their offense has looked absolutely unstoppable at times. In addition, Oakland is 4-0 in their last four games following a game in which they scored five or more runs.
It also doesn't hurt that the A's are facing an inferior team in the Rangers. This is a team that has dropped eight of their last nine games. The A's should continue to ride their high-octane offense and the run line should easily cover.
Key Trend: The A's are 6-0 in their last six games following a win
💰 The Picks

⚾ Astros vs. Angels, 9:38 p.m. | TV: MLB.TV
The Pick: Astros (-130) -- I'm searching for a little bit of redemption against the Angels tonight and the Astros should be able to help us out. The Astros have a 3-4 record over their last seven games and that's actually working in our favor here. Normally, I'd expect this line to be a lot higher than -130, but I think Vegas is factoring in their recent struggles.
I love the pitching matchup for Houston. Astros starter Zack Greinke has a 5-0 record to go along with a 2.67 ERA in road starts this season. While Angels starter Patrick Sandoval has been good, he did surrender four runs in just two innings of work against the Astros earlier this season. It also doesn't hurt that Houston could be getting first baseman Yuli Gurriel back in the lineup on Friday. Keep it simple here and play the Astros money line.
⚾ Rockies vs. Giants, 9:45 p.m. | TV: MLB.TV
The Pick: Over 7.5 runs (-120) -- Over/under bets haven't been kind to me as of late, but this is one that I definitely feel good about. The Giants blanked the Rockies 7-0 on Thursday in a game where the Rockies recorded just four total hits.
While Colorado's offense isn't exactly a powerhouse, I still expect them to be able to scratch a few runs across against Giants starter Anthony DeSclafani. Meanwhile, the Giants have a very dangerous offense that now features slugger Kris Bryant. This is a team that has scored at least five runs in each of their last eight games. It's also worth noting that the over is 4-1 in the Rockies' last five games when the total is set anywhere from 7.0-8.5.
It's hard to imagine there being just 11 total hits between these two teams like there were in Thursday's contest. Plus, 7.5 runs isn't a huge number, so feel good about taking the over in this one.
