  • Blue Jays' Jose Berrios: Silences Mets

Berrios did not factor into the decision Saturday, allowing one run on four hits and three walks over six innings against the Mets. He struck out six.

Berrios turned in yet another strong outing Saturday, allowing just one extra-base hit across six innings to tally his third quality start in his last four appearances. Across his last six starts (37.1 innings), Berrios owns a 2.17 ERA and 34:15 K:BB, and he's given up three or fewer runs in each of those outings. He is tentatively scheduled to take the mound next against the Astros at Rogers Centre.

  • Blue Jays' Jose Berrios: Shuts out Twins over 5.2 innings

Berrios (5-4) got the win Sunday over the Twins, allowing no runs on four hits and five walks while striking out five over 5.2 innings.

Berrios was able to work around five walks and keep the Twins off the scoreboard while tossing 94 pitches. Berrios got knocked around for 12 runs over his first two starts but has given up two runs or less in seven of his nine outings since. He's also exceeded five innings in eight consecutive starts and has provided the Jays with great length thus far. The 29-year-old is down to a 3.86 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 62:19 K:BB over 65.1 innings and is set up for a road matchup against the Mets next weekend.

  • Blue Jays' Jose Berrios: Stymies Tampa Bay

Berrios (4-4) earned the win Tuesday, allowing one run on five hits and two walks over seven innings against Tampa Bay. He struck out five.

Berrios certainly got enough run support in Toronto's 20-1 victory. However, the 28-year-old right-hander was impressive as well, pitching through seven innings for the third time this season. Berrios has been solid of late, allowing eight runs over his last four outings (25.1 innings). Tuesday's performance lowered his ERA to 4.22 with a 1.28 WHIP and 57:14 K:BB through 59.2 innings this season.

  • Blue Jays' Jose Berrios: Fans eight in quality start

Berrios (3-4) took the loss Thursday against the Yankees, giving up three runs on six hits and a walk over 6.2 innings. He struck out eight.

The right-hander was on the wrong end of the decision but still delivered his fourth quality start of the season, tossing 65 of 96 pitches for strikes before exiting. Since coughing up eight runs to the Royals in his season debut, Berrios has posted a 3.64 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 45:10 K:BB through 47 innings as he tries to put his awful 2022 behind him. His next outing figures to be a tough test however, as he's set to pitch early next week during a series in Tampa Bay.

  • Blue Jays' Jose Berrios: Solid in no-decision

Berrios didn't factor into the decision in Saturday's 5-2 win over Atlanta, giving up two runs on six hits and three walks over 5.2 innings. He struck out three.

The right-hander came up one out short of his fourth quality start in his last five outings, and while he put plenty of traffic on the bases, the only damage off Berrios came on a two-run blast by Marcell Ozuna in the second inning. Berrios tossed 65 of 101 pitches for strikes, and he'll take a 4.70 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 44:11 K:BB through 46 innings into his next start, likely to come at home next week against the Yankees.
