Tim Byrdak makes first appearance

Mets reliever Tim Byrdak appeared in his first game Saturday since last September, as he pitched one inning in the Gulf Coast League. Byrdak struck out one batter and walked another, in his first appearance since undergoing surgery on his shoulder.
