Royals starter Wade Davis picked up his first win in a Kansas City uniform pitching at home against the Twins on Wednesday. Davis (1-0) threw 96 pitches over five shutout innings.

The former Tampa Bay starter allowed just four hits over five scoreless frames. He walked three batters and struck out six.

Davis allowed four earned runs over four innings in his debut in Philadelphia, but was much sharper this time around. He could still stand to keep his pitch count down, but the 27-year-old was certainly impressive against Minnesota.

Davis will look to move to 2-0 on the year when he next takes the mound Wednesday in Atlanta.
