Martires Arias: Released by Astros
Arias was released by the Astros on Tuesday, Jake Kaplan of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Following his release from the Padres organization last August, Arias was hoping to pitch his way into the Astros organization this spring, but ultimately was unable to do so. Arias is a 26-year-old pitcher with no experience above High-A, so it'll be tough for him to find much interest on the free agent market.
