The pressure is on for Chase Elliott, as he drew the No. 1 starting spot for the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway in a random selection. But that pressure comes less from being in the top starting spot, and more from the fact that this latest race in the NASCAR Cup Series is happening in his home state of Georgia.

Elliot's random draw came as a result of a lottery system that was adjusted based on owner points for the season so far. It's the second time this season that Elliott has taken the pole, with the first being at Phoenix, which was the last race of the season before coronavirus interrupted it in March.

The position favors him greatly, as the odds for the race have him sitting at +600, but he isn't the favorite for Sunday's event. That distinction goes to Brad Keselowski, who's sitting pretty at +350 because of his history at the track. He has top-10 finishes in four consecutive races, with a total of seven in 11 career starts at Atlanta.

Just as every other race in this restarted season, it will be held without spectators in the crowd. This will be the 113th race hosted by Atlanta Motor Speedway in the Cup Series' history.
