The Charlotte Hornets haven't won a game against the Memphis Grizzlies since Feb. 1 of 2019, but they'll be looking to end the drought on Wednesday. They will face off against one another at 8 p.m. ET at FedExForum. The Hornets fought the good fight in their overtime contest against the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result, falling 126-123. Charlotte's defeat came about despite a quality game from point guard LaMelo Ball, who dropped a triple-double on 25 points, 15 boards, and 11 dimes. That's Ball's first triple-double of the season.

Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Memphis ultimately got the result they were hoping for on Monday with a 125-118 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves. It was another big night for the Grizz's point guard Ja Morant, who had 33 points and eight assists along with six rebounds.

The Hornets are expected to lose this next one by 4.5. Those sticking with them against the spread have guts, to put it politely, as the team has let down bettors in their past five games.

Memphis' win lifted them to 6-4 while Charlotte's loss dropped them down to 5-7. Given their high-scoring efforts against their previous opponents, it will be interesting to see how far up these teams can run up the score.
