Knicks getting closer to signing Jeremy Tyler

The Knicks are inching closer to signing forwad Jeremy Tyler, ESPNNewYork.com reports, adding that the team is considering cutting guard Chris Smith instead of center Cole Aldrich if Tyler is signed.

Tyler was waived by the Knicks in the preseason after playing 22 games between the Warriors and Hawks last season and scoring just 21 points in 68 minutes of action. He averaged 4.9 points and 3.3 rebounds in 42 games with the Warriors during his rookie season.
