Veteran Magic guard Willie Green is expecting to remain with the team throughout the rest of the season. The Magic have the option to buy players out of their contracts and make them free agents, but the team is not planning to do so, according to the Orlando Sentinel.
"'Buyout' is not really in my language," Green said. "I get paid to come in here to be professional and play hard and go out and try to help the team win. As far as I'm concerned, I'm with Orlando for the rest of the year."
Green, who is averaging 5.1 points and 1.3 assists in 36 games this year, wants to be in Orlando and continue to help young players grow.
"Me personally, I'm committed to being here," Green said. "I like being here with these young guys. I like helping them. [Magic GM] Rob Hennigan and myself, we've had conversations about the way I can contribute on and off the floor. So I'm in it. I'm committed."
