What you need to know about the Magic

The game between Orlando and the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday was not particularly close, with the Magic falling 118-102. Point guard Cole Anthony put forth a good effort for the losing side as he posted a double-double on 17 points and 11 assists while also pulling down five boards.

Anthony continues to grow as a scorer and playmaker and is now averaging 17.0 points, 5.8 assists and 5.5 rebounds per game on the season. The Magic are hopeful to get Wendell Carter Jr. back on Saturday from a wrist injury. Carter is averaging 15.0 points and 10.4 rebounds per game this season.

What you need to know about the Kings

Meanwhile, the Kings escaped with a win on Wednesday against the Indiana Pacers by the margin of a single free throw, 110-109. Sacramento can attribute much of its success to point guard Davion Mitchell, who had 25 points and seven assists. The rookie out of Baylor has elevated his play since moving into the starting lineup last week and is averaging 26.5 points and 8.0 assists his last two games.

The Kings had seven different players reach double-figures off the bench in the win over the Pacers and also had seven players score in double-figures in the Dec. 8 win over Orlando. Mitchell had 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting in that win off the bench and he'll have to stay hot with De'Aaron Fox (hand) out on Saturday.
