The 2025 NBA Cup is down to the final four. It's Knicks vs. Magic and Thunder vs. Spurs on Saturday night in Las Vegas. The winners of Saturday's semifinals will advance to the NBA Cup title game on Tuesday. Saturday's games count toward the regular-season standings, but the title game will not.

The eight-team knockout stage began earlier this week. The Thunder improved to 24-1 with a blowout win over the Suns on Wednesday. They tied the 2015-16 Warriors for the best 25-game start in NBA history and handed the Suns their worst loss in franchise history (49 points). The Spurs, meanwhile, took care of Luka Dončić, LeBron James and the Lakers without Victor Wembanyama. It remains to be seen if Wemby, who has missed a month with a calf strain, will suit up for the semifinal tilt against OKC.

In the East, the Magic and Knicks were both victorious on Tuesday night. The Magic rallied after giving up the first 15 points to the Heat to come back and defeat their in-state rival. The Knicks got 35 points from Jalen Brunson in a road win against the Raptors.

The Thunder are currently the favorites to win the 2025 NBA Cup (-225 at FanDuel). The Bucks won the competition last year, and the Lakers won the initial version in 2023.

The Heat, Magic, Knicks, Raptors, Suns, Thunder, Spurs and Lakers made the knockout stage by going 3-1 or better in group play. The Thunder, Lakers, Raptors and Magic all went unbeaten in the group stage. Our Sam Quinn has winners and losers of the group play stage.

The quarterfinal games are all being played in home markets of the higher seeds, but the semifinals on Saturday and the finals on Dec. 16 will be held in Las Vegas.
