The shock deal Wednesday morning that sent Chris Paul to the Rockets in exchange for several players and expiring contracts  marks the end of an era in Los Angeles.

Lob City is dead.

However, the Clippers aren't planning on going into full rebuild mode just yet, as they still have DeAndre Jordan under contract and are reportedly set to focus their efforts on re-signing Blake Griffin, who told the team that he was set to opt out of the final year of his contract and become a free agent

Griffin will have many suitors in free agency, including the Boston Celtics and his hometown Oklahoma City Thunder

It will be fascinating to see what Griffin decides to do, as the Clippers will take a step back without Paul, but could still remain competitive with Griffin and Jordan leading the way. They would have plenty of cap space to try and entice a free agent that could elevate them back to borderline contender status.

On the other hand, Griffin could decide he wants a change of scenery and look for another team that's already set up to contend with his help.

In what has been a fascinating offseason so far, Griffin's decision making process will be one of the most closely followed dramas.
