Report: Timberwolves expected to retain Gary Neal after trade

The Timberwolves are reportedly planning on keeping guard Gary Neal throughout the remainder of the season, according to Yahoo Sports NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski.

Neal, who Minnesota just acquired in a trade with the Hornets, wants to play for a team on playoff run and is expected to request a buyout, according to CBSSports.com NBA Insider Ken Berger.

Neal is averaging 9.5 points and 2.2 rebounds in 44 games this season.
