Today, Tony Allen is laughing about getting hit in the head with a basketball. It happened on Tuesday against the Dallas Mavericks, while he was nursing an ankle injury and sitting in street clothes on the bench.

Frankly, I'm amazed that Allen got beaned like that. On the court, he has fantastic anticipation. I guess teammate Courtney Lee was in the way, but good golly. He didn't even flinch. Then BAM, basketball to the head.
Anyway, we at Eye on Basketball are glad that Allen seems to be in good spirits about the whole thing. Here's hoping he makes his return to the Memphis Grizzlies lineup as soon as possible, which would mean Thursday's game against the Denver Nuggets.
