WATCH: Khris Middleton posterizes Jimmy Butler with one-handed slam
Khris Middleton puts Jimmy Butler on a poster.
You can't blame Jimmy Butler for jumping. The Chicago Bulls guard had the ball stolen from him by Khris Middleton, and wanting to redeem himself, Butler jumped to block the Milwaukee guard's dunk.
Unfortunately for Butler, he couldn't stop Middleton from dunking over him.
There really wasn't anything Butler could do. Middleton sized him up and then just posterized him, all in a matter of seconds.
While it was an impressive play, the dunk meant a lot to Middleton, who has apparently been wanting to get Butler back for blocking him in the playoffs last season. From Charles F. Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel:
"He's a great player," Middleton said of Butler after they renewed their matchup from last season's playoffs. "In the back of my mind, he got me two times last year just blocking my shot, so I knew I had to go strong (for the dunk).
"When somebody embarrasses you like that in the playoffs, you're going to remember it, especially when you've got your parents, your friends talking about it."
It is fair to say that now Middleton's friends will be talking about him dunking over Butler instead of getting blocked by the Bulls guard.
