Former Bears defensive tackle Tommie Harris was arrested Monday night outside a bar for allegedly threatening police officers outside a bar in the Wrigleyville neighborhood on Chicago's North Side.
The 2004 first-round pick out of Oklahoma who last played in the NFL in 2011, was charged with indecent exposure, urinating in public and simple assault, police news affairs officer Michael Sullivan said according to the Chicago Tribune.
Harris, a three-time Pro Bowler during his seven-year Bears career that included a Super Bowl appearance following the 2006 season, battled knee and hamstring issues that forced the team to release him in February 2011. He played in 13 games for the Chargers last season and tallied three sacks. He signed a one-year deal with the Colts in August but was released before the regular season.
Harris' wife died in February. He said in May, after a visit to Tanzania, that he's planning to build an school in Africa in her honor.
