Russell Wilson trade rumors: Giants QB expected to emerge as candidate ahead of NFL trade deadline, per report
Wilson may get another shot later this season

While he has lost his job to Jaxson Dart, Russell Wilson doesn't feel that his days as an NFL starting quarterback are over. In fact, Wilson may actually get another chance at some point later this season.
Wilson, a 10-time Pro Bowler and Super Bowl champion with Seattle, is expected to emerge as a trade candidate ahead of the Nov. 4 deadline for a quarterback-needy team, according to NFL Media.
Two teams that could choose to pursue Wilson are the Bengals and the Saints. Cincinnati is expected to be without injured starter Joe Burrow until at least mid December. New Orleans is 0-3 despite getting solid play from second-year quarterback Spencer Rattler. Wilson could be a nice veteran presence for the Saints' extremely young quarterback room that also includes rookie Tyler Shough.
For his part, Wilson is taking his demotion in stride. He said that he will serve as a mentor for Dart and will not ask for a trade. Wilson was benched following last week's loss to the Chiefs that dropped the Giants to 0-3.
Wilson is making the most of his current situation, but he still believes that he still has plenty of good football left him. He was a Pro Bowler last season, after all, after throwing more than three times as many touchdown passes than interceptions during his lone season with the Steelers.
"I'm not done," Wilson told reporters earlier this week.
It'll be interesting to see if another team agrees with Wilson and decides to give him another shot ahead of the NFL trade deadline.
