Washington Capitals prospect Evgeny Kuznetsov is an exciting player. He has loads of talent and is one of the best prospects in the NHL. Along with the talent and seemingly unlimited offensive upside he brings to the ice every day, he also loves to celebrate when he has success on the ice (as he should).

Take for example his response to scoring his first goal of the KHL season on Thursday (an empty net goal) during his team's 2-0 win over Metallurg Magnitogorsk.

Shortly after scoring Kuznetsov dropped down to the ice and started to do push-ups because, well ... why not?

The goal takes place at the 20-second mark of the video (via Capitals blog Russian Machine Never Breaks) below. The push-ups start shortly after.

Kuznetsov, the Capitals first-round pick (No. 26 overall) in the 2010 NHL draft is no stranger to over-the-top celebrations after goals, a practice that has drawn some criticism from folks that feel the need to remind you that sports are serious business with no fun allowed.

In 49 games with Traktor Chelyabinsk last season Kuznetsov scored 19 goals to go with 21 assists for a team-leading 40 points.

Back in June he signed a two-year contract to remain with the club.
