After appearing in two games with the Florida Panthers during the 2009-10 season, Alexander Salak's career has taken him to the AHL, Sweden and most recently the KHL where he is currently a goalie for Sibir Novosibirsk.

He was briefly in the crease for their most recent playoff game against Mettalurg Magnitogorsk until he ended up getting himself ejected from the game after he lost his mind on Maxim Yakutsenya for taking up too much of his personal space in the goalie crease.

After Yakutsenya crashed into him, Salak repeatedly clubbed him in the head with his blocker pad, knocking him to the ice and continued to go after him.

Salak was ejected from the game for checking to the head and neck area.

He faced just five shots before the ejection, allowing a pair of goals in what would turn out to be a 5-2 loss.

In 40 games during the regular season split between St. Petersburg and Sibir Novosibirsk Salak had a .931 save percentage to go with a 28-9-1 record
