Soccer TV viewing guide: Milan-Napoli, Atalanta-Roma among best games to stream this weekend
A clash at the top of Serie A headlines this weekend's matches

While some of this weekend's notable soccer matches are in flux due to half of the Premier League fixtures getting postponed due to COVID, that doesn't mean that there won't be soccer to watch on TV. Serie A continues its tight race for the Scudetto with AC Milan and Napoli squaring off and the magic of the cup reaches France as Ligue 1 teams enter the largest European cup competition. For a cherry on top, there's also the Trofeo de Campeones in Argentina which will see the winners of the first and second half of the season face off to determine the overall league champion.
Here's a look at the top five matches to watch this weekend.
5. Atalanta vs. Roma
Date: Saturday, Dec. 18 | Time: 9:00 a.m. ET
TV: CBS Sports Network | Live stream: Paramount+
Caesars Sportsbook Odds: Atalanta -150; Draw +320; Roma +370
Why watch: While Felix Afena-Gyan was sent off during Roma's last game vs. Spezia, Roma were still able to pull out the win. Traveling to face an Atalanta side that has won its last five matches will be a slightly tougher challenge though. If Jose Mourinho wants to finish in a European spot, it will be critical for Roma to show they can compete against Serie A's best. But Atalanta is also in the title challenge, only three points behind Inter so they can't afford to drop points here.
4. River Plate vs. Colon
Date: Saturday, Dec. 18 | Time: 7:00 p.m. ET
Live stream: Paramount+
Why watch: A champion will be crowned in Argentina as the first-half winners of the league, Colon, will take on the second-half winners River Plate. Manager Marcelo Gallardo will look to add to his growing list of accolades as River came in third during the first phase before turning things on in the second half of the season. Julian Alvarez will look to cap off his impressive season with a title before likely making a move to Europe.
3. Real Madrid vs. Cadiz
Date: Sunday, Dec. 16 | Time: 3:00 p.m. ET
TV/live stream: ESPN+
Caesars Sportsbook Odds: Real Madrid -400; Draw +500; Cadiz +1100
Why watch: While Real Madrid will be without Marco Asensio, Gareth Bale, Andriy Lunin and Rodrygo due to COVID, they still have a chance to take a double-digit points lead in La Liga and could all but wrap up the title before the new year. Karim Benzema and Vinicius Jr have been on another planet so far this season and will look to hang a crooked number on one of the worst defenses in La Liga.
2. Feignies vs. PSG
Date: Sunday, Dec. 19 | Time: 3:10 p.m. ET
TV: beIN Sports | Live stream: fuboTV (Try for free)
Why watch: Usually the French cup can see some of the stars rested, but even though Feignies are in the fifth tier of French soccer, they have good enough facilities that there could be a mix of stars making the trip to the cozy Complexe Sportif Didier Elo. With Kylian Mbappe and Marco Verrati suspended for PSG's next league match, they could start here, which will add to the fanfare of this match.
1. AC Milan vs. Napoli
Date: Sunday, Dec. 19 | Time: 2:45 p.m. ET
TV: CBS Sports Network | Live stream: Paramount+
Caesars Sportsbook Odds: AC Milan +128; Draw +245; Napoli +210
Why watch: Quite the clash is incoming as Serie A has arguably the biggest match of the weekend. Second-place AC Milan will host fourth-place Napoli. Napoli has been struggling recently due to injuries with three losses in their last five matches they'll need a result here to help turn things around. Lorenzo Insigne and Franck Kessie's futures could put a bit of a cloud over the match with the transfer window opening soon, but that'll be an issue for January.
