WWE Raw results, recap, grades: Logan Paul defeats Rey Mysterio as Austin Theory is revealed as masked man

Also, Bron Breakker continued to gain momentum with an attack on CM Punk

WWE's biggest mystery came to a close on Monday, when Austin Theory revealed himself to be the masked man who had aided The Vision in recent weeks. Theory's reveal came moments after he helped Logan Paul defeat Rey Mysterio in the main event of WWE Raw.

Theory had helped the team of Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Logan Paul, Drew McIntyre and Brock Lesnar win WarGames at Survivor Series, and continued to appear to help out Breakker, Reed and Paul, all while The Vision's Paul Heyman insisted he did not know who was under the mask.

The cat is now out of the bag, and it remains to be seen what that means for The Vision and the group's enemies going forward.

Logan Paul defeats Rey Mysterio as Austin Theory revealed as masked man

After news that LA Knight had been sidelined by Bronson Reed and Logan Paul's attack last week, Paul congratulated Reed. Paul then asked Paul Heyman if the masked man would show up during his match with Rey Mysterio, with Heyman saying he doesn't know the identity of the man under the hood. Breakker informed Heyman that if CM Punk showed his face in the arena, Breakker would take him out, a plan Heyman pushed back on.

Later in the show, CM Punk cut a promo focusing on Breakker. Punk questioned how Breakker could claim it was so easy to pin Punk inside WarGames, pointing out he didn't do it alone. Punk said that Breakker could bring whoever he wanted to their Jan. 6 world title match, but soon everyone would abandon him.

Logan Paul def. Rey Mysterio via pinfall with a Superstar Splash. Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed attempted to come to ringside during the match, but they were cut off by CM Punk, who attacked both with a chair. Mysterio seemed to be on his way to getting the victory when the masked man ran in to deliver a stomp, setting up Paul to get the victory. After Punk returned to the ring to chase off Paul and the masked man, the masked man revealed himself to be Austin Theory, leaving Punk open for a show-ending spear from Breakker.

Can this story fix Theory's seeming inability to gain real momentum in WWE? That's the main question hanging over Monday night's reveal. Theory has all the physical tools to be a major star, but he was handled in a way that held him back in his first real run, and then stuck in something of a humor-based tag team with Grayson Waller. He's getting another crack at the big time here, and it's up to WWE to try to put the pieces together to make it work. At least they didn't continue dragging out the masked man situation any further. Grade: B-

What else happened on WWE Raw?

• Gunther opened the show with a short promo, reminding the fans he "made John Cena tap out like a little b----." Gunther left the ring but came back twice to pose in and around the ring before repeating the line again. Backstage, Gunther was confronted by Akira Tozawa, Otis and R-Truth before Raw general manager Adam Pearce told him he was done for the night.
• The Usos def. The New Day via pinfall after hitting a 1-D on Kofi Kingston.
• Kabuki Warriors vs. Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky was set for the first Raw of 2026 with the women's tag team championships on the line. Later in the show, the Kabuki Warriors attacked Ripley and Sky, with Asuka misting Ripley. Ripley would go on to demand that Pearce book a match pitting her against Asuka.
• Women's Intercontinental Championship -- Maxxine Dupri (c) def. Ivy Nile via submission with an ankle lock.
• Women's World Championship -- Stephanie Vaquer (c) def. Raquel Rodriguez via disqualification after interference from Nikki Bella. Bella then took out Rodriguez before hitting Vaquer with a Rack Attack.
