WWE Raw results, recap, review, grades: Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul secure WarGames advantage
McIntyre and Paul picked up a big win before Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar clashed
With Survivor Series in less than one week, the advantage in the men's WarGames match was on the line in the WWE Raw main event. At the end of the night, it was Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre who won the advantage for their team by defeating The Usos.
McIntyre and Paul will team with Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed and Brock Lesnar on Saturday, facing the team of The Usos, CM Punk, Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns.
Both Lesnar and Reigns appeared on Monday's show, with the two coming to blows as the their teams brawled with the showing going off the air.
CBS Sports was with you all night with recaps and highlights of all the action from Paycom Center in Oklahoma City.
Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul secure WarGames advantage
Roman Reigns opened the show, but was quickly interrupted by Cody Rhodes. Reigns explained that he doesn't like Rhodes, but was on the WarGames team to back his cousins, The Usos. Rhodes extended a hand and said, "Welcome to my team." As things got tense between the two, CM Punk hit the ring to try and calm things down, but the tension only increased between the three before Reigns said, "That belt would look better on my shoulder," leaving Punk and Rhodes to wonder whose belt Reigns was talking about.
Logan Paul & Drew McIntyre def. The Usos in the WarGames advantage match. Down the stretch, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed came to ringside. This drew out CM Punk and Cody Rhodes to even things up, but the ensuing chaos allowed Paul to score a roll-up to secure the advantage for his team in Saturday's match. After the match, Roman Reigns made his way to the ring, dropping Superman punches on everyone until Brock Lesnar made his own entrance. The two teams brawled, with Lesnar and Reigns going at each other as the show went off the air.
There wasn't much doubt that the heels would have the advantage going into WarGames, which is the right way to book a WarGames match. The big tense moment of Lesnar's entrance took a bit of a strange turn when Lesnar did the stomp to coincide with his pyro, but slipped and fell into a backward tumble. Add that to WWE once again dipping into the "Can these men coexist" well, and it was a bit of a forgettable night in the build to a major match. Grade: C+
