WWE Raw results, recap, grades: Paul Heyman adds big stipulation to Riddle vs. Roman Reigns on Friday night
Riddle must win or never receive another shot at Reigns' undisputed championship

Less than a week from his opportunity to win the undisputed championship, Riddle faced an elevation in stakes for his SmackDown match with Roman Reigns. On Monday's edition of Raw, Paul Heyman announced that Riddle would not only face Reigns on Friday night but would also never get another shot at the title if he suffers a loss.
Riddle would build a bit of momentum heading into the match with a big win against Ciampa. More importantly, however, was the message he sent Heyman, saying Reigns would have to kill him to stop him from achieving a victory on Friday.
CBS Sports was with you all night with recaps and highlights of all the action from Intrust Bank Arena in Wichita, Kansas.
New stipulation added to Roman Reigns vs. Riddle
The show opened with Paul Heyman appearing on Miz TV. Miz talked about the history of Money in the Bank and the likelihood of a successful cash-in according to the history of past winners. Heyman said that when you cash in against Roman Reigns, your odds of succeeding drop to zero. Heyman then said that he appealed to WWE management to add a stipulation to Riddle's challenge for the undisputed championship against Roman Reigns at SmackDown on Friday. This brought Riddle to the ring to say that he didn't care about stipulations because Reigns would have to kill him to stop him from winning the title. Heyman then explained that Riddle will either win and become champion or never receive another shot at the title.
Riddle def. Ciampa via pinfall with an RKO. Miz was on commentary for the match but did not interfere in the match. Riddle now carries a bit more momentum into the match with Reigns on Friday night.
Riddle has been forced into being a main event player in Randy Orton's absence and has risen to the task. A big key has been dropping many of Riddle's more playful elements as he focuses in on proving himself as a dangerous, high-level athlete. Monday was another step in that evolution, but WWE will likely look for an escape hatch on Friday, with Riddle winning by disqualification or count out to where the stipulation is rendered meaningless. Still, between a fun match with Ciampa and good interaction with Heyman, there's little to dislike with how Monday night was handled. Grade: B
