WWE Raw results, recap, grades: RK-Bro win tag titles in thriller, Kevin Owens calls out Steve Austin
Owens tried to save his chances of appearing at WrestleMania with a big callout

There was a lot riding on the Raw tag team championship match on Monday night. Not only the titles up for grabs but a guaranteed spot on the WrestleMania card was also on the line.
Randy Orton and Riddle left the night as champions, winning a fantastic triple threat match against Alpha Academy and the team of Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins. But it was Owens who tried to make the biggest news of the night, trying to find a way to appear at WrestleMania by calling out "Stone Cold" Steve Austin to appear on a special edition of "The KO Show" at the event.
CBS Sports was with you all night with recaps and highlights of all the action from Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland.
RK-Bro win tag titles in thriller, Owens calls out Austin
Raw Tag Team Championship – RK-Bro def. Alpha Academy (c) and Seth Rollins & Kevin Owens via pinfall to win the titles. The three teams kicked off the show with promos, with Owens and Rollins again stressing that winning the match was their only path to WrestleMania. The match began right after the promos and was a chaotic affair building to a wild ending. Randy Orton caught Chad Gable with an RK-Bro mid-moonsault but was quickly taken out of the ring. Owens then hit Gable with a stunner and Rollins followed with a stomp, but Riddle threw Rollins from the ring and stole the pin on the downed Gable to regain the titles. After the match, Orton and Riddle celebrated with Orton saying he wanted to use "the f-word" on WWE programming for the first time in his career before calling Riddle his friend.
At the end of the show, having lost out on having a match at WrestleMania, Owens said that he figured out a way to still end up being featured on the show. He wanted, he said, to host the biggest edition of "The KO Show" ever at WrestleMania, and to do that, he would need a star from Texas to be his guest. Owens dismissed the idea of JBL, Booker T or Shawn Michaels taking part in the show. Owens then called out "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, calling him a broken-down shell of his former self and vowing to hit Austin with a stunner in his home state.
The tag title situation took up nearly the entire first hour of the show. That proved to be a good thing, however, with the tag match delivering on all levels followed by a great moment from a very fired-up Orton. There are many worse ways to spend an hour with a wrestling program, as WWE has shown so frequently over the past few years. Owens' callout of Austin at least provides some sort of interesting angle to the ridiculous notion that Owens and Rollins' chances of appearing at WrestleMania hinged on winning the tag titles. But tonight was all about the match. Grade: A
What else happened on WWE Raw?
- 24/7 Championship – Dana Brooke (c) def. Tamina via pinfall to retain the title. Brooke reversed a Boston crab into a roll-up to score the win and retain her title.
- The Miz and Logan Paul hosted special guest Jerry Lawler during a "hometown celebration." After talking up their hometown, Miz and Paul were asked by Lawler what they thought of Cleveland ever hosting a WrestleMania. Paul was fired up by the idea but Miz shot it down saying good things only come when you leave Cleveland before the pair left the ring.
- Tommaso Ciampa & Bron Breakker def. Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode via pinfall when Breakker hit Ziggler with a press powerslam. The match was NXT champion Breakker's first on the main roster.
- Omos def. Apollo Crews via pinfall after a chokebomb.
- Edge addressed his attack on AJ Styles last Monday night. Edge claimed that the attack was done to help Styles because, if Styles is going to face him at WrestleMania, Edge needs him to be a "flesh-tearing pitbull." Edge said that the attack also helped open his eyes and realize that he is in control of everything and has returned to the top of the mountain, ending a very short promo segment.
- Rhea Ripley & Liv Morgan def. Carmella & Queen Zelina via pinfall when Ripley hit Zelina with Riptide. The stipulation was that Ripley and Morgan would be inserted into the women's tag title match with a win. They got that win when Carmella was distracted while talking to Corey Graves at ringside.
- Finn Balor def. Austin Theory via disqualification after interference from Damian Priest. As Balor was heading to the top rope for the Coup de Grace, Priest ran to ringside and shoved the United States champion off the top rope. Priest continued his attack after the disqualification.
