The 2017 game between Connecticut and Boston College will be moved to Fenway Park, it was announced Thursday. Now, on the surface it was a bit strange simply because UConn is giving up a home game to play Boston College at a baseball stadium in Boston.

What's no longer strange is college football being played inside baseball stadiums, and not only will BC-UConn not be the first game played at Fenway Park -- Notre Dame and Boston College played there in 2015, when the Irish were also considered the home team -- it won't even be the first game played at Fenway in the 2017 season.

An Ivy League game between Brown and Dartmouth will be played there on Nov. 10. The next day, Massachusetts will host Maine. UConn and Boston College will then play there the week after, meaning Fenway won't just host three games next season, it will host three games in an eight-day span.

With the recent uptick in college football games at Fenway, it's enough to make you wonder if the oldest baseball stadium in America will do what the second-oldest baseball stadium in the country hopes to do in the future: host a bowl game.
