Harbaugh tweets picture of Woody Hayes in Michigan hat, so Spartans fans hit him back
A reminder for Jim Harbaugh that the internet never forgets -- never
As he’s wont to do from time to time, Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh decided to have some fun Thursday on Twitter by sending out a picture of legendary Ohio State coach Woody Hayes donning a name tag (for some reason) and the Wolverines’ famous block M hat.

Joking that this “unairbrushed” photo confirmed Hayes was deep down a Michigan fan, Harbaugh -- who has often expressed great respect for Hayes -- likely felt he had done his service to the Twitterverse and called it a day.
Ohio State website Eleven Warriors actually figured out exactly why Hayes was wearing the hat, and it turns out it was for a great cause -- charity.

Other fans following the coach had a better idea than sticking to the facts as they reached into a vault that has been accessed before to fire right back at Harbaugh with multiple pictures of the coach in Michigan State gear.

And now to answer your obvious question: Why was Harbaugh ever wearing Spartans gear? As you well know by now, Indiana hoops coach Tom Crean is Harbaugh’s brother-in-law, and Crean was an assistant coach at Michigan State from 1995-99 when those photos were likely taken. In fact, Crean is so close with Spartans coach Tom Izzo and the MSU program that they even gave him a 2000 national title ring despite the fact that he had left the program one season prior to the victory.
Whether that’s a good enough excuse for Harbaugh to be wearing the colors of his alma mater’s rivals is for you to decide.
