  • Millar rejoins independent team: MLB.com reports veteran Kevin Millar, who retired after failing to make the Cubs roster out of spring training, has agreed to join the St. Paul Saints (independent baseball). "It's great that Kevin wants to come back to play for the Saints," Saints manager George Tsamis said in a release. "He made it clear in our conversations that he wants to return to where it all began professionally for him, to give back to the community and to work with our younger players as Leon Durham and other veterans with the Saints' 1993 championship team did for him."

    Fantasy Analysis
Millar appeared headed for a career in broadcasting before he decided that he still has the desire to play baseball. Perhaps a strong stint playing independent ball might bring Millar back to the majors, but don't stash him in any Fantasy format. He no longer has any upside.
