| Benoit earns first save for Tigers: Tigers interim closer Joaquin Benoit recorded his first save on Sunday against the Pirates. Benoit did allow a run in the ninth inning on a sacrifice fly, but struck out one and got three outs for the save. Benoit allowed one hit and needed 18 pitches to finish the inning.
