| Downs closes out Mariners : Angels reliever Scott Downs was able to notch his fourth save of the season during Friday night's contest against the Mariners. Downs came on in the ninth inning and was able to make quick work of Seattle. He retired all three batters he faced and needed only seven pitches to secure the win. (Updated 05/26/2012) |

| Downs is now 4 for 5 in ave chances this season as he has pitched well since being names the team's closer. He seems to be well over the knee troubles he had earlier in the month and should start to see a bit more work now that the Angels are starting to rack up wins. While his strikeout numbers are not much to look at, Fantasy owners should continue to view the veteran as a viable No. 2 Fantasy RP moving forward. (Updated 05/26/2012). |
